Generally fortification is a process of adding FRK (Fortified Rice Kernels) containing FSSAI prescribed micronutrients like Iron, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12 to normal Rice (Milled Rice) in the ratio of 1:100 (Mixing 1 Kg of FRK with 100 Kg milled rice). Is fortified rice good for health? According to the Food Safety Regulator of India FSSAI, fortified rice increases the amount of nutrients in the food and maintains our good health.
